Meet Intel experts at the Intel Deep Learning & Vision at the Edge Workshop to learn more about Intel’s portfolio of AI offerings that are helping Data Scientist and AI practitioner across the globe create the future of Artificial Intelligence.

A full day workshop at Intel Campus: We invite you to participants for a day long workshop on 8th February at the Intel Campus in Bangalore. This workshop will cover topics of DL Training on CPU & Inference at the Edge using Intel® OpenVINO toolkit

Deep learning (DL) is a specialized ML technique that is based on a set of algorithms that attempt to model high-level abstractions in data by using a graph with multiple processing layers. Using Intel optimized tools and frameworks to train and deploy deep networks guarantees that these tools will use Intel® architecture in the most efficient way.

This workshop will walk you through a computer vision workflow using the latest Intel® technologies and comprehensive toolkits including support for deep learning algorithms that help accelerate smart video applications. You will learn how to optimize and improve performance with and without external accelerators and utilize tools to help you identify the best hardware configuration for your needs. This workshop will also outline the various frameworks and topologies supported by Intel® accelerator tools.

  • Brief Introduction to Intel Optimized Frameworks
  • Hands on Lab: Train the topology on a single node for a few epochs
  • Enables CNN-based deep learning inference on the edge
  • Supports heterogeneous execution across Intel® CPU, Intel® Integrated Graphics, Intel® Movidius Neural Compute Stick (NCS), Intel® Neural Compute Stick 2 and Intel® Vision Accelerator Design with Intel® Movidius VPUs
  • Speeds time-to-market via an easy-to-use library of computer vision functions and pre-optimized kernels, Includes optimized calls for computer vision standards, including OpenCV, OpenCL

Mr. Premchander Rao

APJ Staff Lead, IoT & Smart Video

Prem has over 16+ years of experience in development of embedded software for mobile and multimedia system on chip (SOC). Currently working as APJ Staff Lead for IoT and Smart Video. From last 8 years of his work at Intel®, He has been part of the APAC Mobile/Tablet, Real sense application enabling and Emerging Markets Client Enabling activities as Technology lead and most recently as Engineering Manager for IOT Enabling team and he was responsible for working with Key Independent Software Vendors (ISV) in APAC and help them enable their solutions for Intel® architecture devices.

Prem holds a Master of Eng. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from PSG College of Technology.
