Intel^® oneAPI Workshop

Scott D Apeland leads the Intel Developer Program and is responsible for defining and delivering programs for software developers world-wide. This includes the Intel Developer Zone, the Intel AI Academy and the recently announced oneAPI Developer Program. His responsibilities include developer engagement, technical support, community building and university programs. The Intel Developer Zone is global program where developers engage with Intel for all things software.

Scott joined Intel in 1991 and prior to his current role was responsible for managing new product development, roadmap strategies and partner initiatives in the Video Conferencing Division, Internet Media Streaming Division and Embedded Controller Division.

Scott holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a Masters of Business Administration from Brigham Young University.

Subarna is a Technical Consultant Engineer at Intel. Her primary job is bringing performance to Customer applications by using different Intel Compiler Flags as well as handling the issues faced while porting the Customer code to latest Intel compilers. Subarna provides direct support to Intel priority customers like Oracle for getting maximum performance from Intel compilers. Before joining Intel, Subarna was working at Infosys on Videoanalytics Algorithm for IP Cameras after acquiring a masters degree in Computer Science from Vellore Institute of Technology. Travelling, photography and interacting with people keeps her occupied for the rest of the time.

Mayank is working as Technical Consulting Engineer at Intel. His primary responsibilities include helping customers optimize their applications with the help of Intel software tools like VTune Profiler, Advisor and Intel Python. He provides solutions to customers to overcome architectural bottlenecks and get the best out of Intel hardware. Before joining Intel, Mayank completed his Masters in Cryptography and Security from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. He also sometimes wonder on this transition from crypto to computer architecture but thoroughly enjoys engaging one-on-one with customers and assisting them in their optimization journey.

Dr. Kapoor works as a Software Technical Consulting Engineer at Intel Corporation. His principal focus area at Intel is High Performance Computing (HPC) and Intel Parallel Studio XE cluster tools. Dr. Kapoor provides consultation services to strategic customers and also participates in general customer enabling activities. Before joining Intel, Dr. Kapoor completed his PhD in High Performance Computational Fluid Dynamics (HPC), as a Zienkiewicz scholar, from Swansea University, UK. In the last 10 years, Dr. Kapoor has received 21 awards, distinctions and scholarships.

Rushi is currently working as a Sr. Field Application Engineer at the PSG ( Programmable solutions Group) . He is responsible for technical support on Intel’s FPGA for Telecom and Enterprise Segment. In addition, he is also responsible for supporting the Intel’s programmable Acceleration card and is based out of Bangalore, India. He has been with Intel/Altera since 2011 with total experience of more than 14 years in developing and supporting FPGA Designs. He completed PG diploma in VLSI and Digital Design and Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics & Telecommunication from Pune University, India.
